Tunbridge Wells Not Rock 'n' Roll?
Written on 17 May 2012
Given the recent success of The Forum (winning NME’s small music venue of the year award), I am going to have to disagree with Tom Rawstrone’s (of the Daily Mail) use of this tired cliche:
So there I am clanking along on the 7.35pm to Tunbridge Wells - we’re not talking rock ‘n’ roll here
Whilst the article is entertaining, the predictable use of TW as the antithesis of rock and roll is a bit of a let down. Obviously TW has a lot to do to go beyond the “disgusted” and middle class connotations.
